Hi, I'm Johnny. I'm a retail options trader who got tired of fighting with spreadsheets and limited broker tools.

The problem was real: I was trading options on Interactive Brokers (IBKR), but their platform made it hard to visualize my portfolio properly. Sure, I could see individual positions, but understanding my total Greeks exposure? Tracking P&L across multiple strategies? Seeing which positions were eating away from Theta decay?

Spreadsheets weren't the answer: I tried building complex Excel sheets with formulas for Greeks calculations, P&L tracking, and position management. But they broke constantly. Manual data entry was exhausting. And I still couldn't get the visual clarity I needed to make confident trading decisions.

I tested every tool on the market: Some were too expensive. Others were too complex. Most were built for institutional traders, not retail folks like me who just wanted clean, simple portfolio tracking.

So I built what I needed: As an IT Software Engineer with experience in the stock market, I decided to apply my skills to solve my own problem. Optioneer was born from real frustration and real trading experience.
