Optioneer is built for two main types of retail traders: 1) Active traders who want a dedicated tool to track their real options portfolios, P&L, and exposure. 2) Beginners and learners who want to practice options strategies manually with paper portfolios before risking real capital.
Sign up for free, create a new portfolio, and simply start logging your practice trades using the trade entry form. You can use the options screener to find realistic market prices and enter them as your cost basis.

Yes. CSV import is available in Premium, allowing you to bulk-import trades from your broker. Manual trade entry remains supported for everyone, and CSV export is free. Optioneer is also actively developing planned read-only broker synchronization support as part of Premium, starting with Interactive Brokers (IBKR).

Yes! Multiple portfolios is now available for Premium users. You can create and manage separate portfolios for different strategies or accounts, all within a single Optioneer account.
Yes! Free users can analyze option chains for a single stock at a time using the Options Screener. Premium users unlock Discovery — multi-symbol scans across 2,500+ stocks to find income, momentum, and LEAPS opportunities.

Options Screener (Free): Analyze option chains for one ticker at a time. Filter by strike, expiry, delta, and more. Great for evaluating specific stocks you're already watching.

Discovery (Premium): Scan 2,500+ curated stocks at once using prebuilt strategy filters. Find wheel candidates, high theta income plays, covered call setups, and trending momentum opportunities — without manually checking each ticker.

Trending stocks may have higher volatility and wider bid/ask spreads. These scans are designed for experienced traders looking for momentum plays and are clearly labeled as speculative. We recommend using limit orders and managing position sizes carefully.

Use the Feedback button (visible when signed in) to submit bug reports directly. For feature requests, visit the Feature Requests board to suggest improvements and vote on what matters most to you.

We review all submissions and prioritize based on community votes and impact.

Yes. PMCC is available as a native strategy, not just a custom trade. Optioneer tracks the long LEAP call as the anchor and the active short call as the income leg.

PMCC analytics include total strategy P&L, anchor LEAP P&L, current short-call P&L, cumulative premium collected, adjusted LEAP basis, current short-call strike and expiry, and ITM or assignment-risk state.

Yes. When CSV import finds the same underlying with one long call expiring later and one short call expiring sooner, it can classify the position as a PMCC. Future short calls are attached to the same PMCC when the LEAP anchor is still open; ambiguous cases are left for review or treated as a regular diagonal spread.

Optioneer is a free options portfolio tracker built specifically for retail traders. Unlike spreadsheets or institutional tools, Optioneer provides a clean, simple interface for tracking positions, Greeks, P&L, and performance analytics. The core features are free, with no credit card required.
For long positions: P&L = (Current Premium - Entry Premium) × Quantity × 100. For short positions: P&L = (Entry Premium - Current Premium) × Quantity × 100. We use available pricing inputs to estimate the current premium based on the underlying stock price, time to expiration, and implied volatility.
Options Greeks measure how your position responds to market changes. Delta shows price sensitivity (how much your position moves per $1 change in the stock). Theta measures time decay (how much value you lose each day). Gamma measures how Delta changes. Vega shows volatility sensitivity. Understanding Greeks helps you manage risk and make informed trading decisions.
